There’s a been a lot of debate about the ethics of comedians performing at the Riyadh Comedy Festival. Are they regime sellouts or enabling progress? Either way they may all be in breach of contract, as it reportedly contains the the clause
‘ARTIST shall not prepare or perform any material that may be considered to degrade, defame, or bring into public disrepute […] Any religion, religious tradition, religious figure, or religious practice.’
Everything is a religious practice to Mu so unless they found a way to crack jokes about nothing it seems they have all broken the terms. Not helped by Bill Burr throwing all his toys out of the pram.
