Various countries have laws against blasphemy. Mu is all about the love and considers all things sacred, but in the interest of fairness also holds all things profane. This means that in some countries you can’t help but break the law. Have you visited any of the below? If so, you could be in trouble.
Germany
Ever complained about the weather while in Germany? Grumbled about traffic? Griped about work? For shame! These are all sacred to Mu, being sanctified institutions and core to the church. Section 166 of the German criminal code states that ‘Whosoever publicly or through dissemination of written materials (section 11(3)) defames a church […] or their institutions or customs in a manner that is capable of disturbing the public peace‘ could be imprisoned for up to three years. If you’ve ever had a moan down the pub in Germany then you’re a lawbreaker.
Italy
Article 404 of the penal code specifies a prison term of up to 2 years for “anyone who publicly and intentionally destroys […] things that are objects of worship “. Mu has never met an object that wasn’t worshipful. So in Italy be careful not to breathe and destroy sacred bits of air, or look at things and destroy blessed photons, and definitely don’t eat any of the beloved pasta no matter what the heretics say!
Poland
We are all dedicated followers of Mu, and we followers love places. All places. Yes, even there. We love them so much that every place is a place of worship. That’s a problem in Poland, as ‘anyone found guilty of offending religious feelings through public defamation of an object or place of worship is liable to a fine‘. If you’ve visited best keep it light in your online reviews!
